Memes for Garden Bloggers

It appears every group of bloggers has a meme or two and each one has rules and conditions that have to be followed in order to participate. It should come as no surprise that Garden Bloggers also have memes. Here are a few that I've come across.

Green Thumb Sunday
Was started by Tricia and bloggers post a gardening related post the first Sunday of the month. If you're interested in participating see this post which explains in detail how to participate in the meme.

Garden Bloggers' Muse Day
Was started by fellow Chicagoan, Carolyn Gail, and gardeners post a poem the first day of the month. If you're interested in participating see this post and contact the originator of the meme.

Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day
Was started by Carol and to participate you have to post pictures or a description of what is blooming in your garden. If you're interested in participating see this post and contact the originator of the meme.

Blooming Tuesday
Was started by Jean and participants post pictures of what is blooming in their gardens on a Tuesday. If you'd like to participate see this post and or contact the originators of the meme to get started.

Why Participate in a garden blog meme?

The most obvious benefit of participating in a meme is to gain traffic to your blog and incoming links. But ultimately it is about you getting to "meet" gardeners you otherwise may not come across in the blogosphere. It is about the experience of people commenting on your flowers or plants or sharing their flowers and plants with you. After all what kind of misanthrope takes up blogging let alone garden blogging? If I missed your meme contact me and let me know and I'll add it to this list.
