Celebrity Twitter Accounts Hacked

TechCrunch, a blog that profiles internet products and companies, is reporting that the Twitter accounts of various celebrities had been hacked. The accounts have been restored and the offending Tweets removed.

Twitter is gaining popularity among Garden Bloggers and just yesterday I received a direct message through Twitter by a blogger inviting me to visit a blog. Since I trusted the blogger I clicked on the link but was then warned by my browser that the site may be a Phishing site. It seems that not just celebrities were victims of accounts getting hacked.

As I was typing this post I refreshed by Twitter page and noticed there was a message from Twitter informing users about the problem and steps that should be taken to protect their accounts and what to do if they had been hacked.
