Lightbox Now On Blogger Blogs

One of the things that I've always disliked about the way Blogger handles images is that when you click on them to view them full sized they navigated away from the blog. Yesterday Blogger announced that it had added Lightbox to handle the processing of images. How it works isn't important. To see how your garden blog's visitors will see the images go to your blog and click on an image in a post. It will open at full size in a Lightbox and all the images you've added to the post will be available below it in thumbnails and you can scroll through them in a photo gallery fashion.

Looks pretty cool.

If you're a Google+ user this image gallery may look really familiar. I wonder what other Google+ features will be incorporated into Blogger.

  1. Spotted it over the weekend - at that time it was only working on certain browsers.

  2. I liked it better before where you could click on a photo and enlarge it much bigger than the new method. This is important for garden photos to see the small details.

Also, when you click and then try to go back to the blog you have to start from the beginning and reopen the blog.

  4. VP, It looks like the feature isn't working today.LOL.

Gatsbys, When it starts working again I'll check your blog to see what it means.

Mo and Steve, I'll have to see how it works on my blog before I make a final decision but right now I like the gallery view.

I hope you find this blog a useful garden blogging resource. Sometimes I may reply to comments with my MrBrownThumb account or I may reply with my Garden Bloggers account. Hope this isn't confusing. If you're looking for gardening information check out "Google For Gardeners"
