Blogger Extracts Payment From Newspaper Publisher That Plagiarized Him

This is too sweet not to share. A blogger found that a local newspaper had plagiarized a post of his, and to add insult to injury didn't even provide him with a byline. So, armed with a letter, invoice and a camera he went down tot he office of the newspaper and this happened.

    1. Hi Alison, Sorry about that. I've edited the post and it should show you the video. Don't know what happened there, but I didn't realize the video wasn't displaying.

  2. One of my blogged photos from 3 years ago appeared (slightly edited) in my local newspaper recently.

An emailed demand for payment hasn't got anywhere. Looks like I need to adopt this approach.

Didn't it get a bit scary at one point until the camera was pointed out?!

    1. The whole thing was scary. The blogger himself was calm and brave. (I wish I could be like that!) I watched this video here a few days ago and can't get it out of my mind. As much as saying something about blogging and copyright, it's a snapshot of a particular place/town/culture . . . an attitude I would have expected to belong to old fashioned films, not to the present - anywhere!
